This year marks our 10th year of opening. To commemorate a decade serving Chester and the local community, we celebrated the occasion by inviting loyal customers to join us for an evening of indulgence on Friday 4 May.
Great British Menu finalist and Chef Patron of The French, Adam Reid, devised a six-course tasting menu for guests to enjoy during what is set to be an evening of high-quality food, drink and unforgettable service.
The night began with a Champagne reception and Sipsmith gin cocktails followed by a stunning performance by The Voice finalists, Belle Voci.
Guests were then served with a mouthwatering six-course tasting menu, first up an Orkney scallop with trout roe and burnt onion broth, followed by Tater ‘ash dish and a Brill baked in beef butter, with morels and reisling cream.
The showstopper of the evening an Organic Rhug estate lamb dish, with ramsons, asparagus and lettuce.
The menu was then finished with a cheese course, with a buttermilk crumpet, Beenleigh blue with chutney and walnuts, followed by a sweet rhubarb jelly with ginger and malt ice cream.
Celebrations went on late into the night, leaving a lasting impression on the team and the guests.
We now look forward to a busy three day weekend and the start of the Chester Racing season next week, with the much anticipated, Boodles May Festival.
Information regarding future events will be released in coming weeks, so keep an eye on our official Instagram page for updates.
