AN EVENING WITH GARY USHER

This year marks 10 years of Chester Race Company’s inaugural restaurant; 1539 Restaurant & Bar. To commemorate a decade of serving Chester and its loyal community, 1539 Restaurant & Bar hosted an evening of indulgence in May, with Great British Menu finalist and Chef Patron of The French, Adam Reid.
Delighted with the reception received, the restaurant is now pleased to announce their next collaboration with the established chef, Gary Usher, on Thursday 25 October. Gary has devised a bespoke four-course menu for patrons to enjoy during an evening of delectable cuisine, accompanied by a curated drinks offering and unforgettable service.

General Manager, Andre Sievers commented:
‘We are extremely excited to be working with Gary, the evening will spark the beginning of a series of tasting evenings every Friday throughout October and November, offering the perfect accompaniment to the changing season.’

The collaboration marks the start of a season of tasting events to run every Friday throughout autumn, beginning Friday 26 October. Guests are invited to enjoy a five-course tasting menu for just £55 per person. To accompany the menu, the restaurant’s highly trained team will select a perfectly matched drinks flight to complement the culinary journey.

1539 has also recently appointed a new Sous Chef, Richard Bruce to join established Head Chef Daniel Speak creating a noteworthy partnership of innovation and passion. The Michelin Star trained Chef has risen through the ranks at Gordon Ramsey at Claridge’s and The Square. Richard has an enthusiasm for food that reflects the current team’s appetite to create unforgettable dining experiences.
